I don't think the economic sanctions on Iran is justified since the United Nations does not have any actual proof that Iran is developing nuclear weapon and it is all based on speculations. Also, economic sanctions is not necessarily the best approach to Iran, since it affect innocent cilivans the most. It might also aggravate the Iranian government, forcing them to retaliate.
I would not say that it is 100% true that America makes all things up just for the sake of oil and to threat China, but it seems to me that it is pretty reasonable and self-explanatory. To me, so called “economic sanction” is just a fancy excuse for taking Iran’s advantage. For IAEA and UN, they may have some power on certain things, but overall, they are still in command of Uncle Sam.
I believe the economic sanctions made by the UN and US are not justified because there is a lack/absence of proof or evidence that Iran is actually developing nuclear weapons. These sanctions (based off speculations, as mentioned ^^) negatively affect the whole country and mostly its innocent civilians and may further provoke their government.
